As we as we enter into this wonderful holiday season around Christmas and Hanukkah, we stop our work and shift our attention to our families and loved ones. We take stock of our many blessings and realize what is really important in our lives... loving one another.

Despite what we hear in the news, we can choose to set all that aside for a little while and experience more joy, happiness, and the delight of the holiday season.

Charles Dickens the famous author once said "This is the worst of times and the best times." And as hard as it is to accept, once again we're all at choice as to how we declare the outcome for ourselves.

One can give a label to the process calling it Spiritual, mental, emotional work, or the application of the Law Of Attraction, but when it all comes down to it that choice must be made by each one of us. The decision is to choose between fear or love, success or failure.

All one has to do is listen to the radio or television and you can get a fair share of negative news, or a fair share of abuse. Recently Sally and I attended the CEO space forum at Lake Tahoe in Nevada.

Berny Dohrmann set the underlying theme of the forum as to how to prosper in times of a negative economy. The instructors at the forum each spoke and addressed issues to support those who may be going into fear about loss and a potential dismal financial future.

Dave Austin,the famous performance coach to star athletes and leaders of large corporations, made parallels to coaching star athletes at crunch time and how each of us must choose how we are going to show up when the going gets tough.

Can we move from ordinary to extraordinary? Can we reach deep inside ourselves and pull up "the right stuff" to create a win for ourselves while others are experiencing loss?

I'm reminded of my dear friend Terry Cole Whitaker who wrote a book that became a bestseller titled How To Have More In A Have Not World.

Bill Bartmann, the self made billionaire, spoke about how with the turns in the economy, what was his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has now become his twice-in-a -lifetime opportunity.

He instucted attendees in how they might join him in making another fortune in purchasing bad loans at a discount now at a time when banks and the government want to sell them at pennies on the dollar.

Garret Gunderson, author of the best selling book, Killing Sacred Cows, talked about the statistics that were assembled after the stock market crash and the depression of the thirties.

The information revealed that the population of the time was able to be categorized into three segments. The first was a third of the population that suffered during the depression.

The images of these unfortunate individuals are the ones we are most familiar with; people in soup lines, selling apples on the street to make a living, and depressed workers standing in long lines looking for jobs.

However the statistics support the fact that the second third of the population did well enough or experienced only some difficulty in maintaining a lifestyle that they were used to but made out okay.

Then there was another third of the population who accumulated extreme wealth during this period. They were somehow able to seize the opportunity and take advantage to their benefit.

We are at the same crossroads now, where we can choose where we want to stand during this so called recession. Which group do we choose to be in? The saying at the forum was, "Business is booming!"

Buddha said " Success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. If you love what you're doing, you will be successful.

It is a perfect time to practice our spiritual principles to choose, name and claim, declare and demand, and ultimately to expect and allow the future of our choice.

We can each now make an individual decision to shift our consciousness, our awareness, and our attention to focus on declarations of abundance, prosperity, good health, and more joy.

We can prepare with the working tools we need to succeed by attending forums like CEO Space.

We can select a team, or expand our network and support each other in cooperation as we enter into this new experience of our life. We are not alone.

And as Lisa Nichols says in her new book we all have to choose to succeed "No Matter What."

So let's remember the master's words, whose Christ consciousness we celebrate during Christmas time... "As you sow so shall you reap", and that "Everything is possible for him who believes."

So stand as a guard at the door of your mouth and only speak words that positively support your exciting new future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
